Catalyst Cares for Earth and Arbor Day

Fort Lauderdale, FL – April 29, 2015

On Saturday, April 18, several members of our Catalyst Solutions’ Denver team headed out to plant trees at Berkeley Lake Park. The weather was chilly and the ground muddy but despite all, the Catalyst Denver team was ready to help Mother Earth. First, they were given a crash course in how to plant trees in order to give them the best chance for survival, then went to work planting the saplings. The Denver office was so efficient they finished planting two hours ahead of schedule and had a good workout in the process.

Six days later, on April 24, the Catalyst Solutions’ Fort Lauderdale office headed to Flamingo Gardens Botanical Gardens and Everglades Wildlife Sanctuary to plant and care for indigenous Florida species of plants and flowers. To kick off their time at the Gardens, the team was given a tour and introduced to over 60 acres of rare and exotic plants, massive trees and the rehabilitation of birds and animals. After the breathtaking tour, the team was brought out to the “back forty” acres where they built one of the wetland’s high grounds. There, the Fort Lauderdale office weeded, planted and cared for over 40 plants and flowers.

Both Earth Day and Arbor Day were a great success for Catalyst Cares. Catalyst Cares is Catalyst’s social responsibility program which is committed to supporting charitable causes in the community. This program encourages employee participation by offering fantastic experiences and three days of paid time off for volunteering annually.
